The only thing though is that the New Remastered Albums do not come in the nice Hardback Book Cases like the prior versions of those Albums(and a Bonus DVD-A or other type of 2nd CD depending on the Title). ![]() He is well respected for his Remixing work on Albums by Older Music Artists, but guess he had to learn on Mastering and correct the mistakes he made on his early Albums. SW has put out Remastered Versions of 'Stars Die', 'Signify', 'Up the Downstairs' and 'The Sky Moves Sideways' the past 2 years, as he admitted he made his first versions too compressed & lesser Dynamic Range. Also, 'Voyage 34' is interesting, as it is suppose to simulate an LSD Trip-IIRC.Īnyways, hope you put aside some money, if you plan to buy and not stream. I mostly return to listen to the 1990 Albums, and my favorites are 'Signify', 'Up the Downstairs' & 'The Sky Moves Sideways'(Very Pink Floyd Atmospheric Music). Their last album, 'The Incident' was their worst album-IMO, and by that time being tired of the Heavy Rock Sound, I got into Blackfield(one of SW's Side Projects with another Musician, Aviv Geffen), as the first 2 Albums were full of great melodies and a perfect alternative style of Music for me at the right time(the next few Blackfield Albums had minimal Song Writing by SW though and mostly an AG written Songs), just before SW went onto to put out Albums under his Name with a different Band(which has changed Members over his 6 Solo Albums). The Music was still Harder Rock on 'Fear of a Blank Planet', but I love that Album and think it might have been the Best Album of 2007 or at least Top 5 for me. PT became more Hard Rock(even Metal Type?) with 'In Absentia' and 'Deadwing' and not my preference(my bad luck that SW chose to play a few Songs from those Albums on his recent 2018 Tour when he decided to go into his PT Back Catalog). There is a good transition period for 2 albums-'Stupid Dream'(Their Pop Album-well as much as PT ever done any Pop Songs like 'Even Less' and 'Piano Lessons', but still some 'heavy' Songs on this Album) & 'Lightbulb Sun'(a few Harder Rock Songs start to show up on this album, but still a good diverse album).
